Wash against Waste happens every week, to try and get people to use plates instead of disposable containers in the Food Court at Union House.
So if you’re buying lunch on a Tuesday or Wednesday, look out for the plate station and make sure you grab one! This system is still on trial and if enough people use it we could expand it from not only Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but, wait for it… Mondays, Thursdays and yes, even Fridays!
If you’re not buying lunch, look out for the volunteers handing out plates and give them a friendly smile anyway. You can also show your support at http://union.unimelb.edu.au/wash-against-waste
