As well as assisting students with support services on campus, the Student Union manages a range of commercial businesses for students and staff of the University to patronise. These include:
- Numerous food and beverage outlets
- Student bars
- A supermarket
- A chemist
- A computer supply store
- A newsagency stocking stationery, clothing, mobile telephone technology and movie tickets
- A box office and theatre bar for theatre productions, cinema and external bookings
- An art supplies store
